Neon lake - natural phenomenon
By allfromweb on January 19, 2024
At one of the lakes in Australia, was caught a wonderful natural phenomenon. This lake was lit by neon light, they say that it happened as a result of microorganisms. Very beautiful sight and very rare.
This photos features Noctiluca Scintillans, a type of algae that naturally produces a light-emitting chemical reaction. You can’t see it during the day, but, at night, the algae glow electric blue, illuminating portions of the shoreline where wind pushed the blooms during the day.
