Walk into any software store these days and you will find what appears to be row after row of programs on sale. Certainly attractive purchases, but you may encounter a few difficulties with purchasing programs off the shelf. Off-the shelf software - otherwise known as “commercial programs” - can be expensive, not compatible and outdated when compared to what’s downloadable over the Internet.
